Marté Egele X Blarkmate

A Footwear Collaboration — Limited Edition

This collection has been quietly in the works for about a year — the result of many conversations, shared ideas, voice notes, sketches, and plenty of “what if we tried this?” moments between two friends and designers who genuinely admire each other’s work.

Together with Lagos-based footwear designer Blarkmate, we created a limited edition capsule of handcrafted leather shoes that blends the best of both worlds: Blarkmate’s bestselling silhouettes reimagined through the bold, artful lens of Marté Egele.

The capsule includes:
– 2 women’s leather slippers
– 2 men’s leather half shoes (slip-ons)
– 5 men’s leather slippers

Each piece merges classic, wearable tones with subtle design twists — from woven details and sculptural Marté shapes to refined leather textures that speak to both brands’ love for craftsmanship. Some styles were made for everyday, and others? For stepping out with intention.

While we initially set out to create an even split of male and female footwear, the creative process had other plans. This is the final result — a beautiful, unexpected mix we’re incredibly proud of.
